About Al Shira’aa


Al Shira’aa Stables is a prominent UAE-based equestrian organization founded by Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It began from a passion for horses and has grown into an international operation focused on showjumping, breeding, horse welfare, and the development of Emirati riders.

The organization’s main base is in the UAE, with additional facilities in Sharjah and breeding and training operations in the United Kingdom and across Europe. Their programs include elite showjumping horses, young horse development, breeding, and support for UAE riders competing internationally.

Al Shira’aa has become especially well known for:

•⁠ ⁠Sponsoring major international competitions, including the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby and CSIO Lisboa.

2012

The Beginning

Al Shira’aa Stables is established, laying the foundation for a vision of excellence in sport horse breeding and international show jumping, implementing a programme for youth development in the UAE and enhancing the UAE circuit by introducing youth categories at all major FEI events. Through the system rising stars such as Humaid Al Mohair and Omar Al Marzouqi have evolved.

2017

Global Partnerships & International Presence

  • A landmark partnership with Hickstead is announced, marking Al Shira’aa’s entry onto one of the world’s most iconic stages.

  • Team UAE represents on the global stage at the 3* Nations Cup and WINS the Longines FEI Challenge Cup Final.

2019

A Derby Debut

Omar Al Marzouqi makes his first appearance at the prestigious Hickstead Derby, signalling a rising talent within the sport.

2020

Growth & Recognition

  • Al Shira’aa introduces three exceptional stallions to its programme.

  • A partnership with Bolesworth International is established.

  • SS Pegasus earns Best British-Bred at Bolesworth, highlighting breeding success.

  • Al Shira’aa Farms was ranked third in the British owner standings

2021

Competitive Success

  • Denitha and Omar secure victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix.

  • Humaid Al Muhairi and Tsunami De Hus claim victory in the Sires of the World at Lanaken.

2022

  • Team UAE achieves 2nd place at the CSIO5* Abu Dhabi.
